WOW AND FANTASTIC! I have been treating with Dr. Joan To and her wonderful staff for about 10 years now. In a day and age where some dental offices have become somewhat akin to "used car salesmen" and try to upsell you, this is NOT THE CASE WITH DR. TO AND HER OFFICE. In fact, she and her staff go out of their way, communicate with you and collaboratively come up with the best dental plan for you (and your family members) and the best/most affordable financial plan for you as well. Dr. To is honest and upfront as well as tremendously caring and talented. About six months ago my oldest child needed her 4 wisdom teeth removed and unfortunately, the teeth were impacted, two quite significantly. Dr. To took the time to show me the concerns. Understanding the importance of education to me and my daughter, Dr. To was able to wait until school let out in June and the surgery took place then and went incredibly well. No problems and the healing process was quick and without complications, just as she assured me it would be. In November, I needed a root canal due to a basketball injury suffered as a child. Dr. To brought in a specialist, Dr. Vinh Nguyen and he was amazing. He was personable, well -educated (went to a prestigious dental school, had fantastic bed-side manner and put me at ease. I think he was done in less than an hour. The office was able to request a "rush" on my dental crown and it arrived in less than a week. As soon as Dr. To saw the crown and put it next to my existing teeth, she gave me the choice but her recommendation was that the shade of the tooth was off and she would order a new dental crown. I am so happy with her recommendation because if she had not pointed out to me that the first crown was not a precise match, I would not have noticed. I am so glad she made that recommendation. I thought she might charge me extra as she had to spend additional time with me for the second crown but she did not. I would be remiss if I did not mention other staff members, Jenny and Mariah at the Front Desk who are wizards with the insurance and who also either answer my dental questions themselves or if unsure, confirm with Dr. To. The hygienists and dental assistants, Jazzmine and Leilani are fantastic, so gentle but very thorough. Mia who I believe is an Intern is also wonderful. I know I am forgetting someone and my apologies, but THIS IS THE DENTAL OFFICE FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN (AND YOUR PARENTS, TOO). THANK YOU DENTISTS OF SOUTH BAY! Lloyd
